-Kaycee graduated from third grade with straight A's. We are so proud of her! She is so ready for the 4th grade. She also started piano lessons last week and absolutely loves it. Her words to me last week after her first lesson were "It was so fun. The time went by too fast. The teacher says I don't have to practice a half hour this week because I just started but I'm going to anyways." And she has. I love to see that she likes it so much. Though I'm sure that will change soon I'm taking advantage of it while I can.
-Luke is an official kindergarten graduate. I've got to say that I am having a really hard time with that. Everyone always talks about how hard the first day of kindergarten is for a parent - letting your baby go and all that. I guess I'm a bad mom because I wasn't really sad when Luke confidently left me to begin kindergarten. Maybe it was because he had already been going to preschool five days a week. At the end of this school year his class did the cutest program and I was pretty much crying the whole time (as were a lot of other moms). Luke was so cute and he did such a good job. My camera memory card broke half-way through the program and my friend took the cutest picture of Luke with his teacher - I'll post it when I get it. Now I'm really feeling the "this is the last time I'll have a kindergartner" and "my children are growing up way to fast!" syndrome. Honestly! At the rate our lives are going Kaycee will be married with kids and Luke will be on a mission tomorrow.
-Yesterday Kaycee walked and danced in the Pony Express Days parade in Eagle Mountain with Ultimate Dance. It was a long parade route but she had a blast! Luke and John enjoyed it from the sidelines with Blake, Brooke, Tyler and Raleigh. Luke loved it because he got a whole bagful of candy plus a t-shirt, otter pops, football and toothbrushes. I helped pass out fliers and got a major sunburn on my face (I didn't know I was helping until right before it started). Fun times!
