It's Competition Time Again!
Life is busy, busy, busy as usual. But I wouldn't have it any other way. We are enjoying it! Some of the highlights of the last month include Luke trying out Karate and not loving it like he thought he would (he still loves basketball), watching (and loving) the Vancouver Olympics and feeling so proud to be an American and Natalie getting called to be 1st counselor in the Young Women's in our ward. Those of you who know me well know that YW's is like one of my favorite callings ever! Beside's the usual stuff we've also had time for some fun. A few weeks ago we took the kids to the BYU Bean Museum for the 2nd time. Luke has been begging to go again forever. I LOVE THAT PLACE! From reading other people's blog I know it is a favorite for a lot of families. The fact that it is free is what is so great! This time we went during the reptile show. Luke has a fascination with snakes and I thought he was going to die when he got to pet one. We also got to pet a lizard and a little tortoise. It was a lot of fun!

Today officially started dance competition season for Kaycee. Once the season starts it lasts about 3 months and is super fun, busy and full of ups and down. It's always so fun to hang out with "the girls". We always look so forward to the start of the season and then are ready for a break by the end. We chose not to do a solo this year (it's expensive) and it's been quite nice and not so stressful. The first competition is always considered to be the "practice" competition and this one was held at Thanksgiving Point. Kaycee's team - Jr. Elite - did so great! They took 1st place High Gold on their Jazz routine in the intermediate category. They are the only team at their studio who received High Gold. They took 2nd place on their jazz and we thought it looked fabulous! I didn't get a lot of pictures but here they are looking cute in their jazz costumes!
